Reasons that made me stay in Cal

February 27, 2008

Well, there are many reasons which forced me to stay in Cal.

1. There were some problems going on at my place so I was forced to stay out of bangalore.

2. The project I was workin at Cal was quite good.
was Working as HR Manager
working as Content Writer
working as Systems Administrator…..
although for less CTC

3. CEO, COO, and Supervisor was good and friendly with me and they were like friends…over there…..

4. The most important thing I enjoyed in Cal…is Salsa…..

5. The work space was quite good for me.

6. CEO was more of a brother to me than the boss…..

Reasons I left Cal

February 27, 2008

Well, there is not only one reason for me to leave Cal and there are innumerable reasons out there. Here I point it out ..

1. I was getting less salary 7k and my last CTC was 21k. But my CEO and COO were nice to be with. That made me to stay 6 months in Cal.
2. The weather was too harsh; extreme hot and extreme cold.
3. It was too difficult to get the proper food daily because I used to go to a very far away place to get the vegetarian ….( I dont like eating road-side)….
4. Nagarajan..PG owner was a crap and uncultured fellow. He is greedy and asks for more money even if someone gives the whole Swiss Bank.
5. However, the food at the office (lunch) used to be good and tasty…H’m nutritious as well.
6. Nagarajan always used to argue with me.
7. There was no privacy at PG. No keys to the door. No wardrobe so I can lock my important and valuable items.
8. Nagarajans kids were brats..Ashwin and Arvind.
9. I used to wait for the sharing auto to go to PG and to come to the office. Waiting time used to vary from 30 minutes to 45 minutes. If it exceeds 45 minutes then there might be strike in Cal or auto is not going to come on that road for the time being. I used to go by walk…(walking is not difficult for me..just 3 kms…) but that place was not at all clean…
10. I hate gettin inside the sharing auto….

I think I named most of the important reasons for leaving cal and coming back to bangalore.

Febraury 19th – left Cal

February 27, 2008

Nagarajan shouted at me by raising his voice to the max. However, I could not tolerate more than the things I tolerated before and I raised my voice on him for the first and the last time when he told me that I belong to the uncultured family.

He blackmailed me that he is going to tell my CEO (the one who got his PG as well). But I did n’t care a damn about it and told him..”Go and tell him and I dont care about it”….

Then I gave the resignation letter at my office and my CEO helped me out to get the train tickets and got me taxi…sent my colleague to railway station as well ….Thank you for being there with me…

I would’ve changed Nagarajans PG and would’ve rented a flat if at all if I would’ve got more salary.
7k was too cumbersome to get adjusted to be there in Cal…..Well, most people spend their lives with the less salary than 7k but why should I work for less salary when I’ve already got 20k take home in my previous company.

Ashwin….

February 27, 2008

Ashwin was….10 years old when I went to his PG….and I’ve taught him several things which are purely related to academic….

However, he used to behave like an extraordinary outdated idiot. No manners, No character…and this is because his parents does not have any shy, manners, prestige….and others if you can name it.

I used to go to PG at 10 PM sometimes but Ashwin used to come and ask me that he has one doubt….Well, most of the times I used to clear his doubts…although I felt tired like hell.

But sometimes, I told him I will clear his doubts may be later and at those times….I used to get the food from his parents little later.

Here you go….again….

Nagarajan Part VI

February 27, 2008

More about him….
I went to his PG on September 9th…and from September till the day I left his place he never purchased toothpaste, shaving cream, shampoo and soaps. Well, thats because he used to use my stuffs whenever I was not around. Mrs….Nagarajan…(Subha) told me that they have not constructed the building with just Rs. 1,500/- when I asked my money back…hehe……

I used to be in the office atleast 12 to 13 hours a day.

And, another most irritating act done by them is always quarell with me and argue with me. I should say yes whatever they tell me else they are ready to fight with me.

How much I should tolerate ?

Their relatives came to his house and whenever I was in the office they used to sleep in my room. As soon as I open the gates ..Mrs…Nagarajan (shubha)…she used to call his sons name (Ashwin)…so the person who used to sleep in my room to wake up and leave the room.

I’ve seen this from the other window so I know these things but I never spoke any word about it.
There was absolutely no privacy in his PG. No wardrobe….

He used to give one small bucket of water…well, he calls that hot water but for me it is luke warm and sometimes much below than that.

There is no key to lock the room. There is no key to lock the items I’ve…..just an open space..no chairs….only one bed….to sleep….with marble flooring…that was the only positive point I saw…

Whenever I use to latch the room to change my dress or not to get irritated by his devilish sons..
Ashwin (10 years old) and Arving (4 yrs old)…

Ashwin used to knock the door and when I open it then he used to tell me he just wanted to check me out what I was doing?

Uff…..they are such a brat….feels like killing them….although I dont…..

yanna Nagarajan Part V

February 27, 2008

I was so pissed off so I decided to leave that day itself the day he quarelled with me. Well, he used to quarell with me several times whenever he gets mad.

I booked the train ticket on 19th of Febraury 2008 and got the ticket by tatkal and left Kolkata.

I was supposed to leave on 9th of March but the circumstances forced me to do so.

When I packed my luggage to leave for Bangalore again Mrs. Nagarajan told me that , ” This is the manners I got”…
I dont want to fight with vixens and moreover I dont belong to uncultured family like theirs…
so I just told them …” I know what kind of manners and attitude I got, no one has to tell me about it”…

She told me that I cannot leave the place without Nagarajans permission…
She told me to call him and get his permission…

I called him but there was engage tone although I tried twice so I told I’m leaving and left the dungeon.

yanna Nagarajan Part IV

February 27, 2008

This is the postal address of Mr. Nagarajan S

22/c, Baroda Sarani, Post Office, Haridev Pur
Kolkatta, -700082
Cell: 09830251302
Resi: 033-24028729

After getting down at Tollygunge Metro you have to get the auto and get down at Dakshin Ekchollis Palli Club. Then, you have to go to inner lane to reach his house.

He is a member of South India Club and places ads in it whenever he wants a new tenant (PG).

He works in a railway department – South Eastern Railway.

He lied me once that there will be no tatkal at Tollygunge Metro near Tollygunge Railway booking counter.

South India club is situated at Gariahat.

I told him that I’m leaving Kolkata and resigning the job before 1 month as it is customary to tell the PG owner that I’m leaving before 1 month.
He had Rs.3,500/- with him and Rs. 2000/- has been adjusted to one month and another Rs. 1000/- for another 15 days but I was leaving much more early than that but he told me he is not going to give my money back.

I’d no other go so I told him “if you like to keep others money keep it”.

Well, the one more funny thing at Kolkata is advance is non-refundable.

September – Rs. 7,500/-
October – Rs. 3,500/-
November – Rs. 3,500/-
December – Rs 2,000/- no breakfast and dinner
January – Rs. 2,000/-
Febraury – got adjusted in Rs. 7,500/- (Rs. 2,000/-)

Then he asked me the cell phone of Rs. 1,500/- . He asked me to sign on a paper (literally means signing on the blank paper). When I told him I cannot sign it on the blank paper then Mr. Nagarajan and Mrs. Nagarajan (Shubha) shouted at me that I always think that they are cheating me. I belong to uncultured family. And,that’s not all they called my parents and told me that I’ve short temper and called my CEO and told me that I always argue with them.

Blah…blah……

I hate tamilians upto the core.

A Journey from iPAQ to iPhone – Part III

February 11, 2008

Now, Apple iPhone has increased its volume; it comes with 16 GB. Lot of other memory card manufacturers are started moving to this line but still apple wins in this line as well because it is Solid State Drive.

Well, I think with the next generation of Apples iPhone it will overlap the features of UMPC (Ultra Mobile PC) just like there is absolutely no difference between Smartphone and PDA.

Nokia has also moved to Windows Mobile. Sony Eric son has released its phone running Windows Mobile 6.1 and it looks like the Ultra Laptop though.

Steve has to add lot of features to iPhone like shooting the videos, and features whatever Windows Mobile has.

Rather than Faux GPS it is always advantageous to have built-in GPS in the phones.

A Journey from iPAQ to iPhone – Part I

February 11, 2008

If you wanna purchase any accessories to an Apple iPhone then you just have to click on this link: http://www.iphoneware.com. Rest assured we will take care what kind of accessories you want. I mean, you have to choose among helluva list of apparels to dress your Apple baby!!

iPAQ is really one of the intelligent PDA’s I’ve ever used whereas the Apple iPhone sports for the new multi-touch or flow touch interface wherein we can type the things without even stylus. Yes, it means just with the bare hands. If you have put on the gloves then you got to remove it to operate an Apple iPhone.
iPAQ has a hell lot of features but iPhone lacks in it. The loading of any application in an Apple iPhone is much more faster than in any iPAQ’s out there. However, there are not many applications installed in it.

Please note: I’m comparing an Apple iPhone with my HP iPAQ WM5; although WM6 does not have much features added in it.
1. Third party applications can not be installed which is a major turn-off. Ofcourse, you can break and make this device as a pirated.

2. With my iPAQ, I dont have to turn on its display to check out whether I’ve any missed calls or not. If I’ve any missed calls then the red light glows without even getting the display if it is kept unchecked for a long time thus saving the battery.

It even saves the time once we get acquainted with. For me, I started finding out as soon as I’d a hands on with because I’m a geekaliciously techie.
It even does the same if there are any messages out there. Ah! one more bad thing is that it takes a lot of time to boot. It glows the red light if the battery is running out as well.
3. I’ve n’t found out any such options with an Apple iPhone.

4. I can install almost any softwares with my Windows Mobile or iPAQ.
It is difficult to install and find the softwares which works with an Apple iPhone coz there are not many softwares out there yet and one more reason is Steve Jobs does not allow third party softwares on iPhone.

5. Apple iPhone is really friendly interface and get the things done faster but it lacks handwriting recognition because we cannot use stylus.
iPAQ has handwriting recognition. That’s really pretty thumbs up to my iPAQ.

6. Both of these phones comes under almost 135 g but iPAQ can play different formats. I installed Real Player which can play (.rm) format whereas in iPhone still long way to go baaaby!!

7. iPhone has integrated 8GB of memory which is really nice but we get only 7.25 GB because rest of the space will be utilised by MAC OS X. It has integrated iPod and Black berry features.

8. The emailing with iPhone is really fun as we go on typing with our bare hands faster. If we have a bluetooth attached with MAC book or mAC book Pro or PC (at last); then we can type the emails with our computer itself.

9. Emailing with iPAQ is also fun we can use stylus and PC if we have built-in bluetooth.

10. Synchronization with iPhone is pretty fast when compared with iPAQ and Active Sync (later replaced by Windows Mobile Device in Vista).

11. Active Sync will be keep on coming in the taskbar of iPAQ consuming battery. No such hassles in an iPhone.

12. When we talk about the talk-time iPHone will get thumbs up having 8 hours of talk-time whereas I get only 6 hours (max) talk-time in my iPAQ.

13. I can put maximum 2 GB SD cards in my iPAQ whereas iPHone got helluva storage of 8 GB (we get 7.25 GB).

14. The reason why iPhone is not having as many features because it is still a new baaby on the block. Still, theres a lot to go baaaby!!

15. iPAQ has come from the long time; yes, from HP. The devices are good from HP as well but now, its time to upgrade the hardware part, HP!!

16. iPhone is not having GPRS whereas some iPAQ has GSM, GPRS, HSDPA, EDGE.
iPhone is not having GPS (Global Positioning System) as well.

17. When we compare the screens obviously ten points go to iPhone coz it is scratch resistant whereas my iPAQ is not is very fragile.

18. My iPAQ has Radio, 2MP Camera; I can shoot both videos and photos at it. Although, the clarity of photos taken from an apple iPhone is much better than in my iPAQ.

19. Apple iPhone has got 2MP camera too but we cannot shoot videos which is a major bottle neck. Some say that after upgrading to the latest software updates they get an option to shoot videos as well. Time to try for me.!!

20. Obviously, the security part is concerned I give complete votes to iPhone because it is running MAC OS X. No details about whether it is embedded OS X or not. But the interface is really good.

21. iPAQ has got the built-in microphone whereas Apple iPhone lacks.

22. There are not much fonts put up on an Apple iPhone by default. But there are some four fonts displaying in my iPAQ (Not too much, although some what better than one font).

23. All Windows Mobile will be installed with Microsoft Reader and MS Pocket Office.

24. There is no voice commander in an iPhone. However, it has visual voicemails whereas iPAQ does not have such feature.

If you are gonna ask me up which phone would you use; then my answer would be always both. I’m avid techie and would love to embrace all the latest tech forever.
