Yanna Nagarajan – part III

January 29, 2008

Incident 7

This is one more help I received from him. When you move to a different state it is of prime importance to be in touch with the family. It is difficult to use the Bangalore Sim CArd at Kolkata because roaming charges apply at electronic speeds.

I was in the need of the local Kolkata SIM Card and Mr. Nagarajan helped me out. He gave his ID card and I took Reliance mobile phone in the name of him.

Incident 8

He was helping me a lot and took care of me in very good way in the initial days @ PG. So, I was grateful and gifted him Peter England shirt.

Then he increased his greediness almost exponentially. He showed me the routes to office and home. The places are very hard to remember in cal especially the places which are present in the innner lanes…

Address will not be written anywhere and if at all is written it will be in Bengali which I can hardly able to understand.

Bath at PG

January 29, 2008

Well, I get only one bucket of hot water, sometimes it will be luke-warm in the ice-chilling cold.
The cold in cal is like hell…as if I’m living in the refrigerator with -10 degrees Celsius.

A kinda smoke emits from the mouth if we open it in the winter season. my pg room is marble flooring…I just cant keep my feet on the ground but got to do so whenever I want to walk along or to get something either to drink water or….watever…

I put on the socks and use Hawai slippers to walk on the floor because it is damn cold…

And, in such cases too I will brush my teeth with the cold water coming from the tap of the wash basin.

Once PG owner told me that his PG is like five star hotel. Well, now you know…what kind of 5 star hotel….

Meet his kids

January 29, 2008

His kids are completely devilish..Well, may be not by looks but by their attitudes!!
Ufff lotz of attitude…

Arvind (4 years old) and Ashwin (10 years old)

Incident 6:

I wanted woolen garments but absolutely not aware of where to get in Cal…So, he took me to Esplanade and bargained a bit…But still the price of them are costly…hahha

He also took his little devil (Arvind)….along with him for the shopping…

Mr. Nagarajan uncle told me that Ashwin is having the exams so nothing will be prepared for the dinner at home…so we have to eat outside..

I’d no other go other than telling yes. so, I agreed…and was having cold like hell with sore throat and a bit of running nose….
But he ordered Poori and channa batura…for him and me as well..

I had with bit hesitation and great difficulty….I’m very slow in eating and in the meanwhile he had more than 2 to 3 plates of poori….

And, at last I ordered Lassi…(although I had cold…wanted to have….because …I was also dying of the heat at the place)…

I ordered 2 lassi…one for me and another for him…

Arvind took and drank half of it…

I told if he wants to drink full let him…drink…I will order one more for my sweet and sexy Nagarajan….as soon I told that….Arvind drank all of it…

That shows Tamilian kids are …what tamilans are all about….

PG owner yanna Nagarajan – Part II

January 29, 2008

Incident 4

This seems too funny and as well as kinda weird. But, what should I do other than blogging over here…?

We usually give clothes including inner garments…but for my sweet PG owner Nagarajan….I should not give him my inner garments….
laughs out loud…!!

This is another attempt to ask the money in the name of washing clothes…

I still doubt whether work maid washes the clothes or he himself does to get Rs. 15 every week.

Incident 5

This one seems too caring and obviously it is….

Calcutta can be called an Island especially in the month of rainy season. It rains like continuosly for 3 to 4 days with heavy waters pouring from the sky.

Electricity will go completely and water logging will be there till my knees (i’m 6 foot tall)…
Transportation will not be there completely.

And, he called me up and told that he will come to half of the distance to pick me up. It was really a good fascinating experience.

What exactly I’m telling him is although my sweet and sexy PG owner Nagarajan is greedy he do have a little bit of heart still alive?

Great go!! Yanna Nagarajan….

PG owner yanna Nagarajan

January 29, 2008

Although I dont know tamil …hehe..I tried few words atleast for the title …hahha

Incidents….: 1

I stay in the office almost 12-13 hours a day. And, I’ve to wait for the sharing auto almost half an hour. Well, thatz minimum and it can exceed beyond almost 5 days a week.
And, Mr. Nagarajan S told me once that he got more units in the electricity bill; obviously asking for more money.

Incident …..2

Most of the PGs take care of washing the residents clothes and stuffs. Ofcourse, we have to give 15 to 20 rs. Yes, I’m talking in kolkata but in hi-fi places it may exceed.

I usually pay 15 rs…but once Mr. Nagarajan told me that work maid was complaining him that I’ve put more clothes.
You just imagine how come I can put clothes in the similar size of the bucket I used to put my clothes since I used to give out clothes for the washing.

Incident 3…..

It was agreed between me and PG owner that he will give one time breakfast and one time dinner. It includes only one time meals and one time tiffin.

However, most of the times I never used to get it on time. He used to give me breakfast on Sundays at 12:00 PM…hehe…I think just few minutes before 12 PM.

Once I asked him cant you give it on time without even raising my voice. He started shouting at me that I dont co operate and raised his voice to the max….

You guess, what happened next. Certainly, I did not raise my voice…herez the twist…
He shouted that if I’m having problems having the food at his place then I can have the food elsewhere. Well, actually to get the food (especially vegetarian)..is kinda cumbersome in Cal…

But he offered me a nice thing…I was paying Rs. 3,500/- and he told me if I wont take breakfast and dinner then he will reduce Rs. 1,500/-
I instantly agreed after weighing the pros and cons in mind . I just took 2 to 3 minutes but that was more than enough.

Roads @ Cal

January 24, 2008

Yes, I mean the roads for transportation is like hell. Some roads are nice but most of them are very bad even to walk along.

The most irritating thing is while making the roads. Whenever they make the Tar Roads (Mastic Asphalt) they prepare tar (colloquial word) by blocking all the traffic for days together.

It would be better if they prepare the tar somewhere outside and bring it wherever they need to make the roads.

The dust will kill people…I think may be not because all of the locale its are habituated.

Way to go!! Cal…

PG Rules – Cal

January 24, 2008

Here the rules to get into PG is only one of its kind. The advance is non-refundable.
For instance, if the monthly PG rent is Rs. 3,500/- then the advance will be Rs. 7000/- besides the rent will paid before we enter the PG.

I dont think this kind of rule is there in other parts of the country. However, no such weird rules in Bangalore. We give advance and the owner lets us in. Then once we complete one month we will pay the previous month rent.

Rs. 3,500/- will be adjusted for the first month when we step in. Obviously it is from the advance.
When we leave the PG another Rs. 3500/- will be adjusted to the last month. Yes, we have to tell them one month before which seems quite alright because they have to find another person.

I dont understand one thing is when all people tells me that standard of living in Cal is too less when compared to all other cities in India then why 3.5k (too high for PG).

Transportation in Cal

January 21, 2008

People tell me always Cal has a very good transport. Well, may be but not exactly.
If you get autos they will come to only particular places and moreover, it is sharing auto which means 5 people will sit in one auto else the auto does not take off from its landing position.

Buses are also there which are weird kinda thing like antique mini-buses. But the funny thing about is it runs…hehee…a lot of mob in the buses which I hate always…Buses are quite cheap especially mini-buses..

The other big buses are quite high in their fares when compared to autos and mini-buses but connectivity is not there to all of the places.
It has quite comfortable sitting place and stuffs.

Next comes to taxi…taxis are always good with yellow painted completely on Ambassador…
yeah…Yes..we can sing…”yellow…yellow..dirty fellow…”Here Taxis will be ambassador…people from cal says that there are other cars also in the Taxis..But still now I’ve n’t come across any such taxis…

The fares from the taxis will be quite high but not beyond the reach of affordability for the middle-high class people.

I missed out other two things which comes under the genre of Transportation….

Other most important one is Cycle rickshaw…Mostly Biharis pedal the cycle rickshaw…
It can accommodate one or two people…both must be very slim else…it wont contain both of them in the comfy manner.

Metro….It is the fastest and the one I like in Cal….It is the only one which maintains the time…
It is very fast as well. I enjoy stayin in front of it whenever it arrives or leaves from the station..
It is too funny but I like it…and I dont know why…? heheee

Tram…–it runs on the road with railtracks…it is the very slow moving one but if you are new to the city and wanna take enjoy the dirty scenic roads of Cal…it is the one for you..
The other options would be whenever there is no direct bus or direct auto is not there to the place then you can always opt the tram depending upon its route…

Salsa and Website Deal

January 21, 2008

This one is too interesting and always makes me feel that I’m too dumb.

Staying in Cal is no good for me, especially getting adjusted to this extreme hot and extreme cold
weather. There is one reason for me enjoying in Cal, Salsa…

I’m n’t salsa freak but getting passionate towards it day-to-day although I’m no good at it.

I met this guy (name not disclosed)…and had a conference with CEO of the company(the place where I work…CEO was good in making deals.

You teach me Salsa for free then will design the website for your Salsa ….

I’m n’t jealous or something but felt like thrown out from both of them. I was the one who initiated the contact and helped them out but …this is what happens in East India….

well, may be time for me to learn a new lesson….Just felt like pissed off….

Neither I expect the free classes nor anything….

…”Help and dont expect anything from them…”
